Dr. Lou Charkoudian is Associate Professor of Chemistry at Haverford College. Her work in Chemistry course-based
undergraduate research has resulted in three student-co-authored papers in the
past five years, involving more than 50 students.
Dr. Charkoudian discusses the role
and history of Superlab in the curriculum at Haveford, and talks about how
she helped transform this course from a partial-CURE to a full-CURE. She share examples of how she aligns assignments & assessment with values
of empowering the next-generation of diverse, inclusive and risk-tolerant STEM
appreciative citizens.
